In the beautiful scenery of Faenza, all young and promising riders came together to race the second round of the EMX125 championship. The leader in this championship was, after his dominating win in Matterley Basin, no one else then Liam Everts. In timed qualifying, Liam showed promising speed, putting a fifth time on the clocks. In the first moto the Yoko-rider started in the top 5 in the first heat. A good start makes life always a bit easier wasn’t it that this good start went through the drain, Liam lost the front of the bike on one of the downhills. Quickly the youngster picked himself up, rejoining the race in twelfth position. On a mission to get as much points...
Past Saturday all EMX250 riders tried to qualify themselves, a third time in less then ten days, for a grand prix hosted at Kegums in Latvia. Liam wasn’t too happy with the result at ‘Kegums 1.0’ but a few days later he redeemed himself with an nice result at Kegums 2.0. That last result left us hopeful for Kegums 3.0. But once again timed qualification didn’t went smoothly. Overwhelmed with tension Liam was unable to find the right flow. With a twenty-fourth time, the Sidi-boots rider performed far under his true abilities and pace. Then again, the youngster already showed that a bad gate pick doesn’t necessary keeps him from scoring nice results and big points. On the other hand a...
It is 2020 and everything is possible! Yes also three Grand Prix’ races in just one week and all at one venue. To catch up on some of the lost racing while we were in a global lock down, some venues are hosting three full blown grand prix ‘weekends’. One of those lucky venues is Kegums in Latvia. After months of no Grand Prix racing, the EMX250 riders restarted their championship in Latvia. With also Liam Everts on the starting gate. The young Belgian did great in his debut, months ago at Valkenswaard. After a lot of training on his KTM 250SX-F Liam felt ready for the retake of the championship. But the time-practice didn’t delivered an great lap time. This resulting...
As last preparation for the restart of the EMX-season, Liam raced the international test race at Axel in the Netherlands. After last weekend’s appearance in Arnhem on the 125cc bike, he would now race his KTM 250 SX-F bike in the MX2 class. In the qualifying, the youngster managed to put the fifteenth time on to the tables. A decent place in this stacked field of Grand Prix and European 250 riders. From gate pick fifteen, we saw the ‘Gerry De Haes’ supported rider take a mid-pack start. Swiftly the KTM-rider made some passes, this resulting in going forward quickly. But after a unfortunate touch with a competitor Liam made a little crash and tumbled some places backwards on the leaderboard....
Past weekend Liam Everts rode at Arnhem on the beautiful track of ‘Motorsport Park Gelderland Midden’. After lots of 250cc action, Liam chose to ride the KTM 125SX machine in Arnhem. In the morning on a track without any real ruts Liam took the third time in qualifying. This gave him one of the first choices to pick a starting gate. Sadly it didn’t brought the “Topsport Vlaanderen”-supported rider a holeshot. His start wasn’t good but neither was it bad, being in fourth position. With no time to waste Liam went straight to the third position, where he got into a battle for second. With the track being a bit one-lined and still being pretty smooth getting around the man in...
