Eventful weekend for Liam with multiple crashes!

Only one week after his home race in Lommel, Liam was present in Latvia to compete in the fourth round of the EMX250 championship, held at the local track of Kegums. Both in free practice as in the official timed qualifying practice, Liam didn’t found a pace high enough to fight for the top spots. Eventually the 17 year old KTM-rider qualified in eleventh. When the gate dropped in the first heat Liam took a decent start. The youngster tells us: “The reaction at the gate wasn’t that great. Kegums 3.0 brings Liam' another top 10 result!

Past Saturday all EMX250 riders tried to qualify themselves, a third time in less then ten days, for a grand prix hosted at Kegums in Latvia. Liam wasn’t too happy with the result at ‘Kegums 1.0’ but a few days later he redeemed himself with an nice result at Kegums 2.0.  That last result left us hopeful for Kegums 3.0. But once again timed qualification didn’t went smoothly. Overwhelmed with tension Liam was unable to find the right flow. With a twenty-fourth time, the Sidi-boots rider performed far under his true abilities and pace. Liams Latvian tales

It is 2020 and everything is possible! Yes also three Grand Prix’ races in just one week and all at one venue. To catch up on some of the lost racing while we were in a global lock down, some venues are hosting three full blown grand prix ‘weekends’. One of those lucky venues is Kegums in Latvia. After months of no Grand Prix racing, the EMX250 riders restarted their championship in Latvia. With also Liam Everts on the starting gate. The young Belgian did great in his debut, months ago at Valkenswaard.
