This was it for Liam Everts and his 2021 season!

A few weeks ago Liam made a great impression in the Italian dunes of Riola Sardo where he made his World Championship debut in the MX2 class. After that race the focus went back to the EMX250 championship. This championship had still six races to go. We fast forward to the last two Grand Prix races for the EMX250 class in Mantova. Sadly for Liam it all went wrong in time practice. Due to an unlucky crash Liam fell straight onto his shoulder. On first sight it looked like it was only serious muscle pain. But after the on-scene NMRI-photo in the professional MXGP Medical center, there was no other conclusion possible then that the shoulder blade was fractured. The...

Kegums 3.0 brings Liam' another top 10 result!

Past Saturday all EMX250 riders tried to qualify themselves, a third time in less then ten days, for a grand prix hosted at Kegums in Latvia. Liam wasn’t too happy with the result at ‘Kegums 1.0’ but a few days later he redeemed himself with an nice result at Kegums 2.0.  That last result left us hopeful for Kegums 3.0. But once again timed qualification didn’t went smoothly. Overwhelmed with tension Liam was unable to find the right flow. With a twenty-fourth time, the Sidi-boots rider performed far under his true abilities and pace. Then again, the youngster already showed that a bad gate pick doesn’t necessary keeps him from scoring nice results and big points. On the other hand a...

Liams Latvian tales

It is 2020 and everything is possible! Yes also three Grand Prix’ races in just one week and all at one venue. To catch up on some of the lost racing while we were in a global lock down, some venues are hosting three full blown grand prix ‘weekends’. One of those lucky venues is Kegums in Latvia. After months of no Grand Prix racing, the EMX250 riders restarted their championship in Latvia. With also Liam Everts on the starting gate. The young Belgian did great in his debut, months ago at Valkenswaard. After a lot of training on his KTM 250SX-F Liam felt ready for the retake of the championship. But the time-practice didn’t delivered an great lap time. This resulting...

Liam Everts scores 8th overall in International MX2 Race at Axel!

As last preparation for the restart of the EMX-season, Liam raced the international test race at Axel in the Netherlands. After last weekend’s appearance in Arnhem on the 125cc bike, he would now race his KTM 250 SX-F bike in the MX2 class. In the qualifying, the youngster managed to put the fifteenth time on to the tables. A decent place in this stacked field of Grand Prix and European 250 riders. From gate pick fifteen, we saw the ‘Gerry De Haes’ supported rider take a mid-pack start. Swiftly the KTM-rider made some passes, this resulting in going forward quickly. But after a unfortunate touch with a competitor Liam made a little crash and tumbled some places backwards on the leaderboard....
