Liam looks forward to EMX250 race in Lommel

We’re two rounds into the EMX250 championship and Liam has shown flashes of brilliances! After a difficult first Grand Prix in Matterley, finishing ninth overall, he excelled at the Dutch EMX250 GP in Oss! In the first heat, a little crash withheld him from a podium place finishing in fifth, in the second heat he lead the pack for almost the entire race just to finish in second! For the third round of the championship, the brutal Belgian sand track of Lommel is knocking at the door! Liam ready to race Swedish Motocross Championship in Saxtorp!

This week Liam and his entourage are heading towards Sweden, to compete in the first two rounds of the Swedish National championship, both rounds held this coming weekend at Saxtorp. Saturday and Sunday will count as separate rounds for the championship. On both these days two identical schedules will be completed, with on both days one time practice and two heats from twenty-five minutes plus two laps. Liam Everts returns with privateer effort in 2021

Past season began with a big up and ended on an downer. Starting did it with an incredible win at the EMX125 Grand Prix of Matterley Bassin at the end of February. Just a few days later a virus called SARS-CoV-2 aka COVID-19 would derail the world. Sending everything including our sport into a break. When it all stabilized, we resumed racing with races in Czech, Netherlands, Latvia and Italy. There at the Italian track of Faenza, Liam’ season ended prematurely due to an broken arm. Luckily that chapter is now behind us. The arm is almost as new and withstood all training very well. Also the rides on the mountain bike as well as some laps on the KTM...

Liam Everts freed from cast!

The past few months haven’t been the most enjoyable for Liam Everts. The young Belgian broke his radius at the start of September in the EMX125 Grand Prix of Faenza. What looked like a clean fracture at first, turned out to be an annoying injury. This all because after 6-weeks of healing, the facture was grown back together in such a way that it caused an unforeseen obstruction in movement of the wrist. A little surgery was the solution. Now a little more than two months later, Liam is finally freed from the cast around his lower arm. Meaning that slowly but surely his preparation towards the 2021 season can start. Liam undergoes surgery on radius

Past Monday, Liam was expected at the AZ Herentals hospital. This for surgery on his right radius. The right radius healed himself in a wrongful position, creating an obstruction for the wrist to move. As solution, the radius needed to be refractured and repositioned, and the new position of the radius would be secured with an iron plate. The surgery, where they performed the actions described, went well. Afterward, some swelling caused some problems and severe pain. But this got handled by changing the splint, a painful action that caused a little bleeding. From now on it’s a waiting game, more we will know when Liam visits the doctor in a few weeks.
